Drove along the Inverness road, parked up and walked up to Loch Mhadaidh. It was a lovely walk and we saw some more deer. Weather not so good today - it was a bit cloudy and we had had a little bit of light rain but it was still warm and the sun did shine! We went back to the Seaforth in Ullapool for dinner - had tapas but very disappointing as everything was deep fried!!!

Gorgeous weather again today. Took the road back towards Gairloch and stopped and parked up to walk to Loch Finnach. Didn't get that far but it was a lovely walk in great weather again. We saw some deer but they weren't close enough to get a good photo.

Spent all of today at the National Trust Inverewe Gardens - we had a lovely day. The weather was great - sunny all day and we had a good walk around. The scenery was beautiful and the plants and shrubs were gorgeous. Stopped at another lovely beach on the way home and I fell over - again! I finished Holly's socks today and started my 'I' socks.

Walked up to Col Beag today. The weather was glorious! Very steep going up so we came down another way which was also steep! I fell and hurt my elbow and finger! When we got down we sat by the lochan for a little while - F had a paddle. Went to Ullapool for dinner and I had fish and chips - again!! Photo is of Stackpolly which is opposite Col Beag.

Janet's birthday today. Short drive to our walk today. Parked up and it was raining. Set off and stopped at the ruins of an old fort - sat and had a coffee. Carried on up and the weather brightened up. The walk was going as far as Achiltibuie but we didn't get that far! Drove straight to Ullapool after and had a pizza. Sat in the car when we got back to the campsite as it was a bit cold in the tent!!

Drove up to Kinlochkervie - lovely drive through beautiful hills and lochs - and parked at Blairmore. Did a nine mile walk to Sandwood Bay. The beach was breathtakingly beautiful - luckily the sun shone most of the day. We could see the Old Man of Stoer from the beach (I think!). Had some chilli for tea and watched the sunset whilst sitting on the beach.

Good Friday today - we set off on our drive up to Scotland. Left home at 0845 and had good weather all the way up. Stopped at Ullapool (to fill up with fuel which cost £1.50.9 per litre - the most expensive diesel we've ever bought!!!). Got to the campsite at Ardmair in gorgeous sunshine and we were all set up by 5! We went back to Ullapool and had fish and chips - a treat! Photo of me on the beach at the campsite.
