Very, very wet, windy and miserable here today in Cumbria. We'd planned to go over to Cowgill but thought better of it. Would have been my mum's 85th birthday today!

Went swimming first thing then F and I walked into town today. Bought some more sock wool - some glittery Regia for socks for H. We've had so much rain - the river is very high and roaring along - didn't have my camera with me!! Took this photo when I got back. These are our first snowdrops of the year.

A really horrible day today - very windy and wet. I had to go over to Sedbergh this morning and called into this shop - bought an old knitting book and an old tin (Mackie's Shortbread).
