My new challenge! One pair of socks in a solid colour each month - these are the socks for September. They have to be either black, white or gray. Mine are gray and I'm doing Eunice socks by Cookie-A.

We left Coniston today - in the pouring rain - to drive home.

The weather was better today - we still had a little bit of rain but lots of sunshine too. We went for a lovely walk.

Had a very busy day again today. We all went to the cemetry first thing to scatter John's ashes at mum's grave, then we went to lunch, then I had to take dad back to hospital, then met up with all the family from Liverpool later in the afternoon. The weather was gorgeous we we caught the ferry from Cremyll over to Mount Edgcumbe. Stephen, Jamie and Tom were teaching Dylan and Jake how to skim stones at the beach.
