We did a walk near Lake Windermere today. We parked at Ash Landing and walked up to Claife Heights and around to Far Sawrey. Weather wasn't good - it's been really dull all day and not very warm either! Nice walk though.

We drove to Rufford Old Hall today - it's a National Trust property near Ormskirk in Lancashire. Weather was quite good but a bit cool. Rufford Old Hall belonged to the Hesketh family and dates back to 1798.

Did a bit more work on this as I'm at Farfield tomorrow. I started it after my last session there. It's a layer of prefelt with a layer of muslin on top. I've couched some threads and then free machine embroidered - then put it in the washing machine to felt it.

We left Dinard at lunchtime and had a long drive to Caen in Normandy to get the ferry back. We stopped at a beach just outside Caen.

We drove to Dinard today for our last night in Brittany. We found a really nice campsite right on the beach (again on the GR34) and went on an evening stroll along the coast.

We drove to the south of Brittany today. We stopped first in Auray and then drove on to Carnac to see the megaliths. Unfortunately, the rain came down in Carnac and it was difficult to see the stones.

We drove to Treguier today and had a lovely lunch before driving on to Plougescrant. The photo below shows the ouyster beds.

We drove to Pointe de Guette today - it's where they have lots of mussel beds. Then we started our walk in lovely sunshine but had to abandon it as it started raining!

We drove to Plage Bonaparte today and did a coastal walk. Had a swim in the sea when we got back - this is a lovely beach.

We drove to Cap Frehel today - passed some beautiful beaches. We were hoping to go swimming in the sea but it was a bit cool.

We've settled in at our new campsite - it's lovely. It's a ten minute walk to the beach and we're back on the GR34 for our first walk in this area.

Gorgeous sunshine today as we drove to Etables sur Mer. We stopped at this beach at Sant Efflam on the way.

We leave this area tomorrow so we had a lazy day today - we drove along the coast and sat and enjoyed the sunshine.

We did a lovely walk today. We drove to Tremazan (fed the horses) and then walked inland and then back on the GR34 - scenery was beautiful and the weather was good too!

We went for our first proper walk today - the campsite is right on the FR34 (the coastal path around Brittany). We started off in sunshine and ended up being soaked through!

We arrived at our campsite near Landeda in Brittany. The campsite is right next to the beach so once we'd set up we strolled down to the beach. It was a bit dull and very windy but perfect conditions for the kite surfers!

We started our holiday today - left Kendal in pouring rain which was a shame because it was the Olympic Torch day today. But we arrived in Portsmouth in sunshine for our overnight ferry to Caen.
