Lovely weather again - can't believe it!!! Spent most of the morning making sure dad was ready and packed to go off to Scotland on the train. He left at 12.30 - station and trains were heaving - hope he got to Kilmarnock OK! Just off to Adrienne's for another knitting evening. This is a photo of one of my lovely tulips! We're off to Scotland tomorrow - camping - hope it doesn't rain too much!!! Will catch up with my posts when I get back.

Another beautiful day! We drove over to Settle and had lunch there. This is a photo of my dad with his lunch - he had haddock and chips (a huge piece of fish!). We came back and sat in the garden for a little while. F home tonight.

Another lovely day today - very quiet at work. Dad arrived this evening on the coach from Plymouth. Fraser has gone down to London - back on Wednesday. Finished one of my H socks last night (Happy Sox) which I'm knitting for Holly's birthday in June.

A really warm and sunny day today - we did more gardening. We're almost getting to the point where most of it is done. I planted some bedding plants - probably a bit early but we're away at the end of the week so I had to get them in. Went to Oxenholme station to pick up dad's train tickets to Kilmarnock and then we walked up on the Helm - we hadn't been up there before. The views over Kendal were great.

Up early to go with F to take his car back. We were an hour early so we went to Booths for breakfast. I bought three new pairs of walking trousers while we were in town. Came home and did some more gardening.

Had a really busy day! Baked two lots of prune and chocolate brownies, two sticky date cakes, veggie bolognese, chilli and two lots of chicken curry (veggie!). Took some cakes to my two neighbours across the road. Posted some socks to Beryl for her birthday tomorrow. Bought some more plants today - some geraniums. Yesterday, I bought some fuscias and aubretia. F will be home tonight.

Rained again today - the men came to do the roof but went away again because of the rain - they should be back tomorrow. I've been getting some of our camping stuff ready for next week and I went food shopping. I was going to do lots of cooking but decided to do it tomorrow as I have to be at home all day (unless it rains of course!!!). Off to knitting!

It rained today so the workmen didn't come. I was at home this morning (trying to get on with my G socks!) then went to work at lunchtime. Took F with me so he could pick up his car to drive down to London today - he'll be home on Friday evening.

Work today. The men turned up at 8.00 am to start the work on the garage roof but they didn't stay all day as it started raining. Hopefully, they'll be back tomorrow.

Gorgeous weather again today - really warm and sunny. We both worked in the garden for the whole day. Planted some of my new plants and sowed these seeds.

Lovely and sunny again today. We drove to Haweswater and walked up, along and down from there. Lots of people around - probably because the weather was so good. I struggled to get up because it was quite steep! But I made it and we came back down and sat in the sun by the tarn for a little while.

Another lovely sunny day. Had to nip into town first thing then went straight over to Sedbergh - to meet up with the Metaphor group at Farfield Mill. Janet turned up too which was lovely. Had a really good day - did some monoprinting (acrylic paint on acetate sheets then onto black or white fabric). Kate was visiting Farfield too with her friend Sheila so lovely to see her too.

Lovely sunny day today. Went shopping this morning and came home and made vegetable lasagne. Went to the New Moon this evening (before going to knitting group) and met up with everyone from work - some of whom are leaving or have already left.

Worked in the afternoon today. It rained all morning but was lovely this afternoon. Took this photo of Molly the pig. This man lives near the office and he regularly walks Molly on the grass opposite.

What a miserable day today!! And I banged my hand this morning when I got up and by the time I got to work it was swollen up like an egg!! But it didn't hurt and the swelling has gone down now. It was D's last day at work today so that was sad. I'm supposed to be going out this evening (to the group at the Town Hall) but don't think I'll make it this evening.
