Rained again today. Went into work for just after 12 - took some flowers in for Sheila - she's leaving this week and I bought some flowers for Reen - I haven't been into see her since she got home from hospital - so popped in to see her when I got home from work. Took this photo this morning - grey skies today!

The weather has changed a bit today - it rained a little at lunchtime - that's the first time it's rained for what seems like ages! F picked my up again so I didn't have to walk home from work. Didn't find anything very inspiring to photograph today so took this shot.

A lovely day again today. F went to his 10 mile race in Grizedale Forest and I spent the whole day sewing - I've got to get on with my project for Methaphor. This is what I've done so far.

Went swimming first thing this morning and drove back via Morecambe so took this photo. Worked in the garden with F when I got back. The clocks go forward an hour tonight so we lose an hour in bed!!!

Another gorgeous day today! I went to the antiques place in Lancaster today with my friend Anne and she bought this lampshade!! She just loves it - it's just what she was looking for!! I bought a little chair for sitting in when I knit! We had a lovely day and good fun! We're out tonight at the Strickland Arms with Elaine and Gerry.

Had a lovely day today at the Stitch and Embroidery Show in Birmingham. I drove down there with Heather, Rosie and Marilyn. It was lovely weather and a good drive down and back. The show was really good - saw Kate's friend Judith - she was exhibiting her work which was beautiful and we also saw Janet's work exhibited at the University of Cumbria stand. Worked this morning instead of the afternoon. It's been a lovely day. I was thinking of working all day but I decided to leave at 1.30 and went shopping. F is home this evening and I'm off to Birmingham tomorrow!

A bit of a grey and miserable day here today. We went over to Cowgill and did a bit of work in the kitchen. Drove back via Ribblehead Viaduct and it was really misty - could hardly see the viaduct! Got home and lit the fire and then we filled in our Census form - even though we're not supposed to do it until next Sunday!!

Went swimming first thing this morning - it's so much better going now that the mornings are much lighter! Came home and had to go to Grange with F to pick up his car - did some shopping on the way and took this at the fish counter. Spent the rest of the day gardening - it's very slowly beginning to look OK!!

A gorgeous sunny day today. We had to take F's car over to Grange first thing this morning. Then drove to Farfield Mill to meet up with Metaphor textile group - had a lovely day there. It's lambing time!! Finished my E (Embossed Leaves) socks when I got home - hurrah!!!

Home again! Had to do some food shopping. We went to Preston to Dobie's Garden Centre to get some shrubs for the garden. We also bought a plum tree and a pear tree. Took this photo in Booth's in Lancaster.

Our last day today in Turkey. Had a late breakfast and then just sat and relaxed for a couple of hours before leaving at 12.30 when Jill drove us to the airport. The photo is of me knitting another pair of socks - trying to finish my 'E' socks! We've had a lovely week in Adrasan and would love to come back again - hopefully to walk a bit more of the Lycian Way.

The weather seems to be getting better each day. We decided to walk back to Sazak Cove again today - it was about a three hour walk each way but with lovely views for most of the way. When we got to the cove there were just a couple of Turkish men there then another couple turned up. We went swimming and the water was so lovely - it was a bit cold but such a lovely beach and again we were the only people in the water. We stayed there for a couple of hours - had a swim then had lunch then had another swim - a lovely day! Took this photo of our breakfast today - it's a real feast!! Photo below is the cove.

We walked into Adrasan village for the Sunday market. It was really warm walking along the road. Of course, we had various dogs walking along with us!! We passed Fikret on his way driving back from the market. We bought some Turkish Delight and some oranges. Saw a tortoise on our way walking back. Spent the afternoon on the beach and went in for a swim - the water was cold but not too bad - we were the only people in the water though! Today's photo was taken at the market - the fruit and vegetables were so fresh and colourful.

Another lovely sunny day. We saw a sign for the Lycian Way yesterday when we were walking along the beach so decided to walk a bit of it today. It was a really lovely walk with fabulous views of the whole of the bay at Adrasan and the snowy mountain in the distance. We were hoping to get as far as the lighthouse but didn't make it - in fact we didn't even see it so it must have been quite a bit further. We walked for about three hours and stopped for lunch and sat and read our books before walking back down.

Fraser's 50th birthday today! It was lovely and sunny again today. We walked the length of the beach in Adrasan and walked over to the bay where the little fishing boats were moored. The path wasn't very clear so we only got so far and then decided to come back.

Sunshine today - hurray!! We did the walk today that we were supposed to do yesterday - but we took the wrong turn! We walked up behind the hotel and up to a meadow with some ruins of old shepherds' huts. Walked back through Adrasan village. The wild flowers are just beautiful and everyone we met was really friendly. Saw some goats and sheep. Weather much better today.

After a very cold night we woke up to rain and hailstones! Had a lovely breakfast and then headed off on our first walk - we walked from the hotel to Sazak Cove. We had rain and sunshine on and off most of the day. It was very cold again this evening though. This is a photo of where we're staying - it's lovely - it's located on a river when leads into the sea.

Flew to Turkey today for our holiday. We're flying to Antalya and then going to a little place called Adrasan. I took this photo from the plane - I think it's somewhere over the Balkans!

Took this shot this morning when F and I were walking back from town. Not at work today so I've been baking - I made a salmon tart, some shortbread and a seeded loaf - all turned out very well! Off to my knitting group this evening - missed it last week as I was in Liverpool.

Took this photo first thing this morning. The sun was pouring through the window but there was also a heavy frost. The sun was lighting up this rhododendron beautifully and I thought it would be a great shot! Oh well I didn't get around to shooting anything else - I had a really busy day at work. Got there at just after 8 and didn't leave until 6.15 this evening!!! But I'm off for two weeks now so I didn't mind staying late. F is home this evening from London.
